Press release n°10

March 20th 2022

The 78th edition of the Saint-Vincent Tournante took place on 19 and 20 March 2022. The organising committee is pleased to have welcomed 50,000 visitors to the three sites of Corpeau, Puligny-Montrachet and Blagny and to have honoured the spirit of Saint-Vincent more than ever in the current difficult context.

After two successive postponements, and under the eye of the relief societies of Saint Bernard in Puligny-Montrachet and Saint Martin in Corpeau, the festival was finally able to take place this weekend.

The Saint-Vincent Tournante in Corpeau, Puligny-Montrachet and Blagny began with the traditional parade, charged with emotion, which brought together 90 of the 92 Burgundy mutual aid societies and nearly 1000 fellow winegrowers. The parade, which lasted several kilometres, stopped at the ephemeral war memorial, created specifically for the occasion between the two villages, a true symbol of a joint project between Puligny-Montrachet and Corpeau.

After a mass celebrated in the church of Puligny-Montrachet and rebroadcast in Corpeau, the Knights of the Tastevin proceeded to the induction of 9 former winegrowers, the Mayors of Corpeau and Puligny-Montrachet as well as the President of the Saint-Vincent Tournante Committee.

Despite the current economic, geopolitical and health context, Corpeau, Puligny-Montrachet and Blagny welcomed around 50,000 visitors, including 17,000 tasters.

After 4 years of preparation, of constant adaptation to sanitary imperatives, and thanks to a remarkable collective effort, the organising committee of the 78th Saint-Vincent Tournante of Puligny-Montrachet, Corpeau, Blagny is very pleased with this success.

As announced by the Grand Master of the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin: see you in 2023 in Couchey!
